To The Wigwam Families of the 2021 season:
The year of 2020 nears it’s final month. Of course, there are many things about this past year that are forgettable, however the shining light that we all shared – Camp Wigwam 2020 – will continue to provide glowing and “positive” memories for a lifetime.
On that note, to Ben Faletra and his staff, including Mack Harris, Adam Shimberg, Becky Blender, Scott Leff, and Rachel Slakter, thank you for that amazing and emotionally charged slide show.
The news of our successful summer has traveled far and wide in recent weeks, with countless congratulatory notes coming in from Alumni and friends, including Charles “Chuck” Mulford, Glenn Baker (camper in the early Strauss years 1965-1968), and our longtime friend Mike “The Baker” Petrin who gives a Wigwam shout out to all!
We have received a huge number of completed “bunk preference” cards in recent weeks. If you’ve not sent yours along just yet, please do at your earliest convenience.
Here’s to a happy, healthy, and safe holiday season to all!
Bob, Jane, and The Wigwam Staff
Travel to camp…
As we dive into the winter months, the time is now to consider travel to camp for summer 2021. Of course we can not predict with any certainty what the nature of our nation’s health might look like at that time, but we are, at this time, preparing various scenarios for camper travel to Maine.
If you feel as though you would like your camper to fly on one of the flights suggested below, we are planning to complete that booking just after the first of the year. There is no need to book flights just yet. We will send along a form via e-mail, at that time, requesting that all families lock into a travel plan. As is our policy, Wigwam will have a staff member and/or chaperone on all flights, and busses.
~ Families may of course drive their camper(s) to Wigwam on opening day, July 1.
~ Camp Wigwam will arrange a Charter Bus travel option from the mid-Atlantic states (PA, NY,NJ, CT, MA), also on July 1
~ Air travel is a viable option as well, and we have researched the following flights as our best choices for camper travel.
